Nucleotide sequence of the glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene from Cryphonectria parasitica

, : Nucleotide sequence of the glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene from Cryphonectria parasitica. Nucleic Acids Research 18(18): 5566-5566

The gene for glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (gpd-1) of C. parasitica, the chestnut blight fungus, was isolated by probing a genomic library with a PCR amplified copy of the coding region of the Aspergillus nidulans homologue, gpdA. The nucleotide sequence for the entire gpd-1 coding region, 381 bp of the 5'-flanking region and 557 bp of the 3'-flanking region is presented. The gpd-1 coding region contained 2 introns which correspond to introns 5 and 6 of the gpdA gene.
