A programme was initiated to test on-station developed animal feed resources on-farm in Mzuzu, Malawi. Two groups of selected dairy farmers with lactating cows were issued with maize bran (Group 1) and maize bran plus cottonseed cake (Group 2). The 2 groups of cows were given the rations in addition to pasture resources ad lib. Daily milk yields were recorded.
