Peroxidase activity in Norway spruce needles exposed to gaseous pollution in the field and in exposure chambers

Peroxidase activity in Norway spruce needles exposed to gaseous pollution in the field and in exposure chambers

Forstwissenschaftliches Centralblatt 108(5): 289-302

Total peroxidase activity was determined in green, visually healthy, needles of Norway spruce about 110 years old in N. Germany, in relation to short-term peak values of SO2 and O3. Peroxidase activity was also determined in needles of a spruce clone in controlled conditions following fumigation with SO2, NO2 and O3, alone or in combination.
