Microcalluses were produced from protoplasts isolated from cotyledons of 9 genotypes 3-4 weeks after suspension in modified B5 medium, and 5 genotypes were transferred to a shoot initiation medium to evaluate 4 different hormones (1-10 mg kinetin, 0.2-5 mg BAP 0.1-5 mg zeatin or 0.1-0.5 mg isopentenyladenine) used alone or in combination with 0.01-2.5 mg IAA/litre.
