Production and technological properties of milk of Holstein X Simmental crossbreds of the 2nd and 3rd generations

For superscript 3/4 Red and White Holstein (RWH)-1/4 Russian Simmental (RS) and 7/8 RWH-1/8 RS cows (14 per group), 305-day milk yield averaged 5293 and 5422 kg resp., milk fat percentage 3.83 and 3.93, and protein percentage 3.30 and 3.32. For 15 cows of each type, data are tabulated on udder and teat measurements. The percentage of milk from the front quarters was 46.0 and 45.2 resp.
