For 15 Russian Simmental (RS) and 15 Holstein X RS cows, duration of the 1st lactation averaged 323.5 and 324.5 days resp., lactation milk yield 3079.0 and 3591.0 kg, milk fat percentage 3.99 and 4.11, protein percentage 3.32 and 3.37, and service period 87.3 and 81.8 days. For 15 RS and 15 Holstein X RS steers, daily gain to 18 months of age averaged 728 and 716 g resp., consumption of FU/kg gain 8.74 and 8.87, and dressing percentage 52.0 and 51.9.
