Production, chemical composition and technological properties of milk of Black Pied cows of different genotypes

For 472 Russian Black Pied (RBP), 202 Holstein, 99 Holstein X RBP (F1) and 56 backcross (superscript 3//4 Holstein) cows, milk yield averaged 4058, 5277, 4751 and 4121 kg resp., fat percentage 3.75, 4.04, 3.79 and 3.74, and fat yield 152.6, 212.5, 180.6 and 154.9 kg, differences between the breed types being significant. Data are tabulated on the frequencies of casein and lactoglobulin genes and types in the cows.
