Quality in the fruit storage chambers is followed closely

, : Quality in the fruit storage chambers is followed closely. Fruitteelt Den Haag 81(5): 14-15

The results of storage studies with apples from numerous orchards are briefly discussed, with notes on some of the commonly occurring disorders. Data are presented on the Ca and K contents and K:Ca ratio in Cox's Orange Pippin fruits borne on 1-year and older wood, assessed at the normal time (the end of Aug.) and later, and of Jonagold fruits assessed at the normal time and at the time of harvest.
