Quantitative traits of carcass and meat of bulls of different breeds and ages
Czech Pied (CP), German Red Pied (GRP) X CP and Simmental X CP bulls were finished on ad lib. maize silage and 2 kg concentrates daily to approx. 60 kg body weight. Dressing percentage was highest for CPs (58.5) and lowest for GRP X CPs (57.6). Carcass weight, hindquarters weight and internal fat weight were also highest in the CPs, but the differences from other types were not significant.
