Resource use by farm households for maintaining living standards. A comparison between farmers, non-farm self employed and employed workers

Resource use by farm households for maintaining living standards. A comparison between farmers, non-farm self employed and employed workers

Schriftenreihe des Bundesministers fur Ernahrung, Landwirtschaft und Forsten Reihe A, Angewandte Wissenschaft ( 400): 12pp. + app.

The socioeconomic position of full and part time farm families is compared with that of similar self employed and non-farm employed families living in economically less favoured parts of Lower Saxony. The 100 households taking part in the survey kept daily records of both money and goods coming into and being used by the household and of each family member's use of time over the whole farm year 1986/87.
