In a trial in 1980-81 with 3 barley cultivars sown on 27 Dec. 1980, applying 0, 30 or 60 kg N/ha gave av. grain yields of 0.42, 2.26 and 3.05 t/ha, resp. Yields were lower with 20 and 40 kg P2O5/ha (1.96 and 1.75 t/ha, resp.) than without P (2.02 t), but the difference was not significant.
