Response of some pepper cultivars to planting dates under unheated greenhouse conditions

In the winter seasons of 1988/89 and 1989/90, 14 imported hybrid pepper cultivars were planted in a greenhouse on 20 Sep. or 12 Nov. at Cairo University. Growth, yield and fruit quality were evaluated and compared with those of California Wonder. In general, early yield was higher from planting in Nov. and total yield from planting in Sep. Cultivars Lamuyo and Imperial gave the highest early yield and Rupia the highest total yield.
