Securing the food supply in developing countries: research on sustainable agricultural and food production systems: 25pp.



This volume, maintaining that scientific and technological advances, particularly in molecular biology, could make a significant contribution to averting a potential global food crisis, introduces examples from the current research programme of the Agricultural and Food Research Council (AFRC), many of which are funded by the Overseas Development Administration. It also outlines AFRC's contribution to research and skills training and to technology transfer in developing countries.
