Sequencing batch anaerobic reactors for treatment of a high-strength organic wastewater

Sequencing batch anaerobic reactors for treatment of a high-strength organic wastewater

Water Science and Technology 23(7-9): 1249-1257

A high-strength synthetic waste water was used in lab. experiments on the performance of sequencing batch anaerobic reactors. Substrate removal, biogas production, operating parameters and settleability of process microorganisms were studied. A max. soluble substrate removal of 73% was achieved.
