Sequential infection as risk factor for dengue hemorrhagic fever/dengue shock syndrome (DHF/DSS) during the 1981 dengue hemorrhagic Cuban epidemic

Sequential infection as risk factor for dengue hemorrhagic fever/dengue shock syndrome (DHF/DSS) during the 1981 dengue hemorrhagic Cuban epidemic

Memorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz 86(3): 367-367

In order to test the role of secondary infection in the development of severe disease, the sera of 3 groups of patients from Cuba with dengue haemorrhagic fever/dengue shock syndrome (DHF/DSS) grades II-IV were examined (following the 1981 Cuban DHF epidemic) for neutralizing antibodies to dengue 1 and 2 viruses at a dilution of 1:30.
