Seroepidemiological evaluation of malaria in Mayotte Island (Comoro Archipelago), 1984-1988

Bulletin de la Societe de Pathologie Exotique et de ses Filiales 83(5): 658-668

In Mayotte Island in the Comoro archipelago, the authors survey serologically the incidence of malaria (see Trop. Dis. Bull., 1988, 85, abst. 1902; 1989, 86, abst. 1778). Intensive control measures have been carried out since 1976 (see ibid., 1990, 87, abst. 3430).The blood of a sample population in each of 12 sentinal villages was examined by the indirect immunofluorescent antibody test (with Plasmodium falciparum antigen) as well as on blood slides.
