Serological and allergic study of the course of experimental Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis infection in goats

Serological and allergic study of the course of experimental Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis infection in goats

Pesquisa Veterinaria Brasileira 11(1-2): 1-7

The study was carried out in 26 goats infected by intradermal inoculation of 5, 20 and 100 C. pseudotuberculosis cells. Humoral and cellular immune responses developed at the same time. One goat did not develop antibodies, but showed a stong allergic reaction for 22 weeks after infection. Antibodies, investigated by the synergistic haemolysis inhibition test, were first detected at the 3rd week and peaked at the 7th week.
