Serological detection of infectious bursal diseases virus antibodies in chicken's sera in Western Sudan by counterimmunoelectrophoresis

Serological detection of infectious bursal diseases virus antibodies in chicken's sera in Western Sudan by counterimmunoelectrophoresis

Bulletin of Animal Health and Production in Africa 37(4): 401-402

In serological tests on 495 serum samples from chickens on the government poultry farm, private farms and from local breed of chickens (Baladi type) in Kordofan region, Western Sudan for the presence of infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) antibodies by counter-immunoelectrophoresis test, 14.6% of the total samples examined were positive. 19.7%, 9.5% and 5.5% seropositive were detected in government farms, private farms and local breeds respectively.
