Serological response in cattle to tissue culture rabies vaccine

Serological response in cattle to tissue culture rabies vaccine

Indian Veterinary Journal 69(1): 8-10

A tissue culture rabies vaccine, inactivated with BEI and adjuvanted with aluminium hydroxide gel was administered to crossbred cattle and the serological response was monitored by RFFIT. The vaccine induced satisfactory immune response and mean antibody titres of log 10, 2.02 and 1.27 were observed at 2 months and 17 months after vaccination respectively. The animals exhibited anamnestic response when revaccinated at 17 months after first vaccination.
