Serum immunoglobulins in young bulls naturally infected by IBR/IPV (Bovid herpesvirus 1-BHV1)

Serum immunoglobulins in young bulls naturally infected by IBR/IPV (Bovid herpesvirus 1-BHV1)

Medycyna Weterynaryjna 46(11): 441-443

For studies 20 young bulls in 2 groups: 2-4 months and 6-10 months of age, were selected. Half of the s in each group showed clinical symptoms of respiratory tract inflammation. The remaining animals were healthy. Infected animals excreted BHV1 for a relatively long period (42-56 days). In some animals serum neutralization titres between 1:2 and 1:8 were recorded only occasionally. Irrespective of age, the serum contents of IgG1 and IgG increased and IgG2 decreased.
