No significant correlation was found between adequacy of body weight of 214 pregnant women in Havana, Cuba, for pregnancy stage, estimated from weight to height ratios adjusted for minimum acceptable increment, and cholesterol (except in the first trimester), triglycerides, phospholipids or high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in serum during the 3 trimesters.
