Serum progesterone profile during oestrus cycle and early pregnancy in normal and synchronized Nili-Ravi buffaloes

Serum progesterone profile during oestrus cycle and early pregnancy in normal and synchronized Nili-Ravi buffaloes

Buffalo Journal 8(1): 77-82

Nine anoestrous buffaloes with a palpable corpus luteum were studied 110-623 days after calving, together with 9 cycling buffaloes that had calved 60 days previously. The anoestrous buffaloes were injected with 0.5 mg cloprostenol. All buffaloes detected in oestrus were inseminated twice. Blood was sampled at regular intervals until return to oestrous or for 42 days after insemination.
