Selenium was estimated in serum from children 5.1 to 10.5 years old with untreated coeliac syndrome (CS), treated CS or various hepatic diseases or from normal control children. For the 4 groups, in that order, serum Se values were 75.6, 99.9, 81.8 and 98.9 micro g/litre.
