Some properties of humic substances and characteristics of reflective capacity of flooded soils of the Bratsk reservoir

Comparison of the optical properties of soil humic acids cannot provide a diagnostic index of changes in these acids following waterlogging. In flooded soils, low molecular weight acids can be distinguished according to the soil's constituent horizons; long-term flooding of dernopodzolic soils increases the acids' optical density and decreases their molecular weight.
