Spatial distribution of Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch) in wheat at Varanasi

Rhopalosiphum maidis was shown to be distributed in a contagious manner on wheat at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1987-88; the negative binomial distribution provided a good fit to the observed data. The proper sample size for estimating populations was 5 plants, and the total number of observations should not be less than 212.
