Spatial variability of available micronutrients in the alluvial soils of the plain to the south of Turin (Italy)
A kriging interpolation was carried out on available micronutrient data from 188 soil samples from an alluvial plain. Extractable Fe, Al, Mn, Cu, Ni, Co and Pb were checked by modelling a semivariogram and Fe, Al Mn, Zn and Co showed spatial dependence. The nugget effect was larger and the kriging crossvalidation more significant for Al and Ni, but for the other elements the kriging standard deviations were not so great as to render the map invalid.
