Spatial variability of soil characteristics and its influence on the transport of pesticides in soil
The organic C content of a site in northern Germany was calculated using semi variograms and kriging interpolation. The spatial variation of the adsorption of terbuthylazine followed the spatial variation of organic C. Using the Pesticide Root Zone Model (PRZM), the transport of terbuthylazine in the soil was simulated for a 12 month time period assuming a half life of terbuthylazine of 45 d.
