For birth weight and preweaning weights at 3 and 6 months of age, heterosis in Brahman X Cheju and Santa Gertrudis X Cheju F1 cattle was generally negative, while in 3-breed crosses heterosis averaged 5.8% at birth, 14.1% at 3 months and 23.8% at 6 months.
