Studies on some measurements of udder and teat and their relation with milk yield and milk composition in Jersey X local (F1) cows of Assam

120 crossbreds of Jersey cattle with local cattle were studied. Over the first 4 lactations, udder length increased from 42.53 to 49.24 cm, udder width increased from 42.07 to 53.77 cm, udder depth increased from 11.58 to 13.98 cm, and udder circumference increased from 54.95 to 59.03 cm. Measurements were greater in early-lactation than in mid-lactation and late lactation.
