Data from sugarcane field trials in Burkina Faso (variety NCO376) and South Africa (variety N55/805) are examined and the difference discussed. Both trials were subjected to nematicide treatment, using carbofuran at 10.5 kg/ha and aldicarb at 11 kg/ha, respectively.
