Study on the psychrophilic/psychrotrophic microorganisms III. Geomyces laevis, a new species of Geomyces

Study on the psychrophilic/psychrotrophic microorganisms III. Geomyces laevis, a new species of Geomyces

Acta Mycologica Sinica 8(1): 47-50

Many psychrotrophic fungi were obtained from food in cold- storage. The predominant species were Geomyces and Chrysosporium and one of the isolates is described as G. laevis sp. nov. It formed a snow-white thick felty colony on PYE agar at 18 degrees C for 14 d.
