The CryB1 protein coding gene from the NRD-12 strain of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki: molecular cloning, gene expression and its insecticidal activity

, : The CryB1 protein coding gene from the NRD-12 strain of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki: molecular cloning, gene expression and its insecticidal activity. Proceedings and abstracts, Vth International Colloquium on Invertebrate Pathology and Microbial Control, Adelaide, Australia, 20-24 August 1990: 476

The gene coding for the cryB1 crystal protein was cloned from the total plasmid DNA of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki strain NRD-12. Restriction enzyme digested fragments of NRD-12 total plasmid DNA were cloned and a plasmid DNA library was established. An oligonucleotide probe was used to screen transformed colonies and one clone containing a 4.0 kb insert (pWJM-1) hybridized strongly with the probe.
