The Glycine-Glomus-Bradyrhizobium symbiosis. XI. Nodule gas exchange and efficiency as a function of soil and root water status in mycorrhizal soyabean

, : The Glycine-Glomus-Bradyrhizobium symbiosis. XI. Nodule gas exchange and efficiency as a function of soil and root water status in mycorrhizal soyabean. Physiologia Plantarum 83(3): 476-482

Soyabeans Hobbit were inoculated with a HUP-strain of Bradyrhizobium japonicum and either colonized by the vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) fungus Glomus mosseae or given KH2PO4 (non VAM) in a nutrient solution. After 50 d the plants were harvested while water was withheld for 4 d and the available soil water decreased to zero. Nodule P concentrations and P-use efficiency decreased linearly with soil and root water content during the harvest period in both VAM and non VAM plants.

An intraoperative high-frequency epicardial echocardiographic study. Our purpose was to evaluate the vasodilating responses of atherosclerotic coronary arteries using intraoperative high-frequency (12 MHz) epicardial echocardiography. Motivation: Complex biological functions emerge from interactions between proteins in stable supra-molecular assemblies and/or through transitory contacts. Most of the time protein partners of the assemblies are composed of one or several domains...
