The effects of dipping on the reproductive performance of adult crossbred ewes

, : The effects of dipping on the reproductive performance of adult crossbred ewes. 11th International Congress on Animal Reproduction and Artificial Insemination, University College Dublin, Ireland, June 26-30, 1988 Volume 4 Brief Communications (Paper 578): 3pp.

50 aged crossbred ewes were dipped on 4 Oct., oestrus was synchronized by treatment on 10-24 Oct., and the ewes were then run with harnessed vasectomised rams which were replaced by breeding sires on 9 Nov. Subsequently, 16 ewes were not dipped during the oestrous cycle, 16 were dipped on 5 Nov. (approx. day 10 of the cycle), and 16 were dipped on 9 Nov. (day 14 of the cycle).
