The effects of grassland fragmentation on species richness and composition

The effects of grassland fragmentation on species richness and composition

Dissertation Abstracts International B, Sciences and Engineering 52(2): 629B

During the summer of 1989, field data were collected in order to investigate the effects of grassland fragmentation on species richness and composition. Ten study sites ranging in size from 10.1 to 93.1 ha were selected in Payne, Noble, and Pawnee counties, Oklahoma, and a modified-step-point sampling technique was used to gather species information from 1039 points along 32 transects at each site. Information regarding edge and neighbours was also collected.
