, : The effects of intragastrically administered HCl on the population of microflora and pathomorphological alterations of mucous membranes of stomach and duodenum in piglets. Medycyna Weterynaryjna 47(8): 368-371

The experiments were carried out in 5 groups of crossbred piglets. Group A consisted of 20 animals of which subgroups of 5 were killed at 6, 12, 24 and 48 h of life. Group B of 10 piglets were controls. Groups C, D and E of 10 piglets each, were given by gavage 0.18% HCl at 2-3 ml daily starting from day 3, 7 and 10. All animals were killed on day 14.
