The effects of land titling on small farm production in the highlands of Ecuador

, : The effects of land titling on small farm production in the highlands of Ecuador. Dissertation Abstracts International A, Humanities and Social Sciences 50(10): p.3306

Land titling is being promoted as a necessary reform to ensure the productive use of agricultural land and to improve agricultural performance. This contention is analysed in the context of small farmers in the highlands of Ecuador. The existing empirical and theoretical evidence of title effects on agricultural performance is detailed. No clear picture emerges when considering the effect of title in different contexts.
