The effects of preceding crops and fertilizers on the stability of spring wheat yields on chernozems of Altai Priob'e

, : The effects of preceding crops and fertilizers on the stability of spring wheat yields on chernozems of Altai Priob'e. Sibirskii Vestnik Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Nauki ( 4): 22-25, 132

The results of a 12-year rotation and fertilizer trial and regional agrochemical reports for 1976-84 were used to calculate the stability of spring wheat yields. Yields were least variable in the E. part of the region (Altai foothills) with 500 mm annual precipitation and were most unstable in the Kulunde steppe region (250 mm precipitation), where the coefficient of variation was 35%.
