During the final 4-8 weeks of pregnancy, Merino, Red Karaman and Awassi ewes were fed on diets containing hay 2, 1.6 or 1.2 and concentrate 0, 0.4 or 0.8 kg, respectively. Least square mean ewe weight change was -6.9, -2.3 and -0.7 kg, respectively. Liveweight of lambs was 4.12, 4.52 and 4.91 at birth, 5.77, 6.48 and 6.89 at 7 days, 9.90, 11.00 and 11.38 at 30 days, 11.78, 12.65 and 14.30 at 45 days old and 14.65, 15.74 and 16.69 kg at weaning, respectively.
