The effects of tire inflation pressure on soil stresses
Soil stress states were calculated under a tractor tyre operated at 4 different inflation pressures and 1 dynamic load. Peak soil stresses increased with increasing inflation pressure in a Norfolk sandy loam, but showed no similar trend in a Decatur clay loam.
