The effects of various design parameters on the tractive performance of rubber tracks

, : The effects of various design parameters on the tractive performance of rubber tracks. Proceedings, 5th European Conference of the International Society for Terrain Vehicle Systems, held in Budapest, Hungary, 4-6 September 1991: 278-285

The tractive performance of an experimental rubber track unit was compared with that of a 16.9 R34 tractor driving wheel tyre, in 6 different field conditions, using a single wheel tester. Tractive performance was assessed in terms of coeff. of rolling resistance, max. coeff. of traction, max. tractive efficiency and coeff. of traction and slip at max. tractive efficiency.
