The effects of various seed treatments on the germination, coleoptile length and emergence of South African winter wheats (Triticum aestivum L.)

South African Journal of Plant and Soil 9(3): 139-143

Wheat Betta, Tugela, Molen, Karee and T85/21 seeds treated with triadimenol, tebuconazole, flutriafol + thiabendazole or carboxin + thiram were stored for 9 months or germinated immediately after the treatments. All fungicide treatments decreased the percentage germination to varying degrees after storage, while there was no significant loss in germination percentage where seeds were germinated soon after fungicide treatments.
