The efficacy of fecundin in improving reproduction in Rambouillet ewes

, : The efficacy of fecundin in improving reproduction in Rambouillet ewes. Sheep Research Journal 7(1): 11-15

Two experiments, each of 3 yr duration, were conducted to study the effect of immunization against androstenedione (Fecundin) on lamb production in Rambouillet ewes under range conditions. Untreated ewes served as controls. Ovulation rate was recorded for 1 yr and was increased by 0.47%. However, this increase in ovulation rate resulted in an additional wastage of 18 ova or embryos per 100 ewes exposed.
