The efficacy of oxfendazole in the therapy of experimental Haemonchus contortus infection in goats in Saudi Arabia

, : The efficacy of oxfendazole in the therapy of experimental Haemonchus contortus infection in goats in Saudi Arabia. Veterinary Medical Journal Giza 37(1): 99-110

Local goats 5-7 months of age, experimentally infected with H. contortus were dosed via stomach tube with oxfendazole (Rintal) at 5.4 or 16.2 mg/kg body weight. At 5.4 mg/kg there was total clearance of eggs of H. contortus from faeces in 9 of the 10 goats, while at 16.2 mg/kg there was 100% control.
