The efficiency of multivariate breeding value estimation - simulation studies in laying hens

The efficiency of multivariate breeding value estimation - simulation studies in laying hens

Archiv fur Tierzucht 35(5): 501-507

Using a multitrait mixed model, breeding values of laying fowls for 270-day egg production, egg and body weights at 240 days, and egg mass/100 g feed consumed were estimated in a simulation study on populations of 500 and 1800 fowls over 3 generations.
