The emerging context of environmental change: a Southern perspective

, : The emerging context of environmental change: a Southern perspective. Ecodecision ( 5): 25-27

The Commission on Developing Countries and Global Change seeks to support Third World participation in research on global environmental change. Its report, For Earth's Sake, which has been submitted to UNCED, tries to make Northern scientists and decision makers aware of how their Southern counterparts view environmental issues. In the South, other issues are necessarily treated as less important than the question of providing for basic human needs.
