The rational management improvement of roughage production and dairy farming in Korea. 1. Selection of optimal dairy farming by cropping patterns of forage crop and dairy farming types

Research Reports of the Rural Development Administration, Livestock 33(3): 22-30

This study was carried out in order to find the optimal dairy farming system by cropping patterns of forage crop and dairy farming types. A linear programming (LP)-model was used to determine the optimum dairy farming system. The results obtained were as follows. The gross margins per dairy farm household were 9 264 000 won in farming type I, 9 684 000 won in farming type II, 10 209 000 won in dairy farming type III and 8 643 000 won in farming type IV resp.
