The advantages of irrigating with water-saving techniques and of intercropping wheat and cotton covered with PVC film are:- (i) reduction of evaporation from the soil, (ii) raising of ground temperature, (iii) large-scale water savings at certain points in crop growth, and (iv) earlier growth of crops.
