Trace element and vitamin A status of growing pigs fed a rapeseed meal diet varying in the glucosinolate and iodine content

Feed intake, growth, organ weight, iodine content in thyroid, vitamin A and trace elements in liver and serum were studied for 104 days in pigs given soyabean oilmeal plus supplementary iodine 0.125, rapeseed oilmeal (high glucosinolate) plus I 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0, or rapeseed oilmeal treated with copper sulphate (low glucosinolate) (12.5 g/kg) plus I 0, 0.625, 0.125, 0.25 and 0.5 mg/kg.
