Trace metal attenuation resulting from in-situ degradation of sanitary landfill leachate

Trace metal attenuation resulting from in-situ degradation of sanitary landfill leachate

Heavy metals in the environment: 351-363

Select trace metal concn in leachate collected from a large upstate New York sanitary landfill during a 12-month period were found to vary in relation to leachate 5-d biochemical oxygen demand, acetic acid concn and pH. Similar relationships were found in leachate subjected to lab. anaerobic digestion in a modified upflow anaerobic sludge blanket digester operated under mesophilic conditions.
